Description

FUNCTION: Reporting to the Flight Attendant Manager and this position is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of Transwest Air's passengers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To include but not limited to:
- Provide friendly and attentive service demonstrating Transwest Air values
-Explain and demonstrate safety procedures
-Monitor the general condition of the aircraft cabin
-Attend to the safety of passengers at all times
-Actively participate in Transwest Air's Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
-Follow proper working procedures including all Standard Operating Procedures
-Any other duties as assigned by Flight Attendant Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
-fluency in English plus one other language. French is a preferred asset.
-Completion of secondary school. Travel school is a preferred asset
-Flight attendants require a minimum of 2 years previous experience working with the public in a customer service role
-Minimum of 19 years of age at time of employment
-Canadian citizen or landed immigrant status (in possession of a permanent resident card) with the ability to travel without restriction
-Ability to obtain necessary security clearances and successfully complete company screening process
-Neat appearance and well groomed
-Flight attendants may be called to work at short notice and therefore must be able to reach the airport within the 1 hour of callout
-Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends and holidays
-First aid and CPR certification an asset
-Must be in possession of a valid driver's licence
-Ability to meet required medical standard
