Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable infrastructure manager to lead the Public Works and Utilities Department as our Superintendent of Public Works. The job is located in Rosetown, Saskatchewana town that has a lot to offer!

About the Position:
You would be reporting to the Town Administrator, the Superintendent Public Works is a senior position working with minimal supervision and is responsible to:
Accomplish department objectives and goals within guidelines established by the Council and the Town Administrator
Supervise, organize, coordinate, control and execute of all functions of the Public Works and Water Treatment Plant Departments annual work programs


Ideal RequirementsThe following requirements are preferred but not criticalwe will review resumes from all applicants even if they do not possess some of the items listed below:
Technical Certificate preferred but will accept a combination of education and experience
Previous supervisory experience in a public works and utilities required  minimum of five years
Working knowledge of applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws, codes and regulations governing the administration of public works and water treatment operations and sewer management
Good mathematical skills required to calculate pipe size to water mass, cubic yards for gravel, dirt and concrete
Equipment Operator Certification or willing to achieve
Firemans Certificate or willing to achieve
Versed with Occupational Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations including OH&S Level I & II
**must have all the qualifications required for Public Works Foreman
