Description

Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Director of Development will be responsible for visioning and executing strategies that meet the revenue goals of the agency.  The Director will establish strategies to secure corporate sponsorships and donations, individual donations, planned giving, and other sources of revenue including overseeing fundraising events.  On-going management and development of stewarding relationships is integral to the role in order to elevate the profile of the agency in the community.  
1.Fund Development
In conjunction with the ED and the Building Big Committee, develops and implements a strategic revenue generation plan driven by the strategic plan
Develop strategy focused on immediate and long term sustainable multi-year fundraising initiatives
Assess market opportunities; identify target markets, ongoing intelligence gathering associated with current and potential donors  
Create development infrastructure needed to generate new revenue sources including fundraising software, donor information, and communications  
Build a strategy for a monthly giving donor base
Identify and secure new corporate and foundation revenue sources
Stewardship and recognition of existing donor relationships
Works with the Director of Marketing to develop an annual communications plan for donors  
In partnership with the ED and the Building Big Committee, recruits, trains, and motivates leadership volunteers in fundraising activities
2.Oversees Event Management
Partners with the ED and Director of Marketing to develop, analyze, and plan the optimum number or events and types of events that will have the greatest return on investment.
Oversees all aspects of fundraising events planning and budgeting.
Secures and manages volunteers for special events as required.
3.Leadership and Management of Staff
Directs and coordinates Fund Development staff in satellite locations.
