Description

Job Summary:
The community selected Prevention Services Worker will provide an alternate approach to the well-being of the child, the family and the community that is based on the development of prevention services resting on the foundations of First Nations values and beliefs.  The context of prevention services development will be discussed with the support of family and community members.  The Prevention Services Worker will network with community based programs, the Nekaneet First Nation Prevention Committee and YTCCFS Inc. to provide relevant community based prevention services.  The successful candidate must reside on the Nekaneet First Nation.
Qualifications - as required by the Nekaneet First Nation:
Certificate in Social Work (CSW or CISW) OR
Grade 12 and a minimum of one (1) year of proven relevant experience.
Legal Requirements of Yorkton Tribal Council Child & Family Services:
Must submit a current Criminal Record Check including a Vulnerable Sector Check.
Provide a current Prohibited Drug Test Report Certified by a member in good standing of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan.
Must possess a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's License.
