These include the following broad areas of accountabilities:
o Deliver courses relating to: employment readiness, academic refresher, communications, career action planning; overview of mining industry, and basic hands-on skill development in the shop
o Complete all course-required materials including evaluations, attendance records and course evaluations
o Use appropriate methods of evaluating and recording student progress within set time frames
o Ensure a positive, diverse and inclusive work and learning environment
o Adhere to and promote academic regulations and SIIT policies and procedures
o Maintain classroom and shop discipline and, if necessary, recommend action to applicable supervisor regarding student behavior, including formal student disciplinary action
o Make recommendations to modify course objectives, course outlines, curriculum, and evaluation procedures
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Post secondary certification with related work experience in the trades or mining industry. Experience teaching Aboriginal Adults and knowledge of the trades or mining industry in the area would be considered assets. Knowledge of First Nations cultures and organizations is an asset.

This candidate will instruct the MIPP program in both Saskatoon and Regina. Proposed contract is from August 17, 2015 to April 1, 2016 but remains flexible. Regina: September 14, 2015 November 20, 2015. Saskatoon: January 11, 2016 March 18, 2015 (dates are tentative based on a third delivery)
