  In a 1 week rotation: 5 shifts of 7.50 hours

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst will assist with the efficient and effective operation, development, and maintenance of the financial, statistical, and budgetary information systems of the Region.
The incumbent assists with the maintenance of the Regions revenues, expenditures, accounting, statistical/utilization information and budgeting in accordance in accordance with the Region and government policies. The incumbent performs regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts and prepares working papers sufficient for internal and external audit purposes.

Qualifications:
Professional Accounting Designation; an equivalent combination of education & experience may be considered
2-3 years direct accounting experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Advanced computer skills
Knowledge of database systems, spreadsheet applications & fully integrated accounting systems
Ability to work independently
Strong organizational & communication skills
Ability to analyze complex situations & environments to develop practical solutions

Additional Text:
Location of job will be discussed and agreed upon between incumbent and management.
Previous payroll experience is an asset.
