The Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) is a unique, multi-billion dollar organization based on the fundamental principles of co-operation. It is comprised of a network of approximately 220 autonomous retail co-operatives across Western Canada along with their branch operations, and Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL). FCL is the wholesaling/manufacturing arm of the CRS, which provides the retail co-ops with a range of products and services. FCL invites applications for the position of Production Technician.

**Please note: this is a temporary position for up to seven (7) months; may be extended; may lead to permanent**

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Technician is responsible for the following:

1. Typeset and assemble, advertising materials on a Macintosh platform within guidelines and deadlines.
2. Assist with proofing of flyers and other advertising materials at various stages of production for accuracy of pictures, graphics, copy and pricing.
3. Download images/files from FTP site and preflight for production of food flyer.
4. Close crop, colour correct, catalogue, archive and maintain product images. Table top photography may be required.
5. Organize and prepare food input files in preparation for food flyer production.
6. Other duties as assigned.

The successful applicant will possess a two-year Diploma in Graphic Design or Visual Communications, plus a minimum of two years' experience in prepress working on a Macintosh platform. This must include working with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
