Job Description: LELC Director will ensure the safe supervision of all children, manage all other staff and oversee the day-to-day operation of the centre. The individual we are looking for must possess effective leadership skills, proficient communication skills, and must exhibit enthusiasm and a positive attitude.
Main duties will include but are not limited to:
Administration
Human Resource Management
Financial Management including budgeting and Grant proposals
Program/Child Development
Family Support
Community Involvement
Board Relations reporting to and taking direction from the Board of Directors
Required Qualifications:
Early Childhood Education Level III Certificate (or be actively working towards completion)
Certificate in First Aid and CPR
TB Check
Criminal Record Check
Vulnerable Sector Check
Required Skills/Experience:
Experience working with children of all ages
Strong communication skills, oral and written
Computer Skills
Record Keeping and scheduling
Experience with Play & Exploration programming
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Management experience
Experience working with a board of directors
Menu planning
This is a salaried position with flexible hours. Salary based on qualifications and experience.
