Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit a Systems Engineer - Network Support Specialist.

The Role:

Install and maintain complex computer networks
Configure various server hardware platforms, install Microsoft Server operating systems and configure for use as Hyper-V hosts or guests.
Trouble shoot and repair server and workstation hardware
Install, configure and troubleshoot various versions of Windows operating systems on workstations and laptops    
Frequently interact with contacts, third party suppliers and vendors for escalations and support
Ability to strategize on projects from infancy to fruition  
May have to train users on basic operation of computers and related components
Backup and data recovery as required

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience receiving and prioritizing trouble calls and diagnosing problems
Windows 2003 / 2008 / 2012 Active Directory experience is a definite asset
Knowledge and experience with virtualization; Hyper-V or VMware
RDC experience and understanding of remote management tools
Windows Deployment Services and / or other imaging tools experience an asset
Proven ability to work well in a dynamic team environment or on own with minimal supervision
Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills are a MUST
Candidates should hold one or more of the typical CompTIA certifications; A+, Network+, Server+  
Added asset would be prior experience and certifications on Lenovo, Hewlett Packard and Toshiba servers, workstations and or laptops
Must hold a valid Province of Saskatchewan Driver License and be able to provide a current driver abstract
Recognizes and appreciates how superior customer support translates to the continuing success of our business
