Description

We are looking for a full time medical office assistant to cover a one year Maternity Leave. This may work into a permanent position. You would be working closely with the physicians, taking the patients in and preparing them for the doctor, including taking vitals. You will be responsible for doing minimal lab work, including blood sugars, urinalysis and HCG testing. Other duties may include assisting the doctor with minor procedures and exams. There will also be some office work, electronic filing, faxing, making some appointments as well as computer data entry as we utilize an Electronic Medical Record.

The successful candidate MUST have a medical background with post secondary education (ie: MOA course) and be comfortable with the use of a computer. You will be on your feet for a large portion of your day, so you must be physically capbable of doing so.
The successful candidate enjoys working with the public in a very fast paced environment and is able to work very well independently as well as within a team. If you are able to take direction easily and are a quick learner  and can adapt to change comfortably, we would like to hear from you!
