Job Description: Hands-on, 'do it all' corporate office to regional facilities The Information Technology (IT) Coordinator is responsible for the design, configuration, installation, maintenance and repair of the northwest Saskatchewan health regions IT hardware, networks and software applications, working closely with senior leadership to assess and address system and user needs.

Areas of responsibility include a full range of information system (data, voice and video) activities, including determining user requirements, recommending practical solutions and leading organizational efforts to improve the use of technology.

The position is solution and client oriented, focused on ensuring user satisfaction through provision of high-quality information technology services in support of the administration and delivery of efficient and effective healthcare programs and services. Maximizing the current state and envisioning an enhanced future state, the IT Coordinator ensures optimal system operation and performance enabling end users to accomplish critical healthcare tasks.

The importance of IT and this role across a health region physically spanning one quarter of the province cannot be underappreciated, nor can the associated challenges of development, implementation and use of technology to address system  and ultimately, customer needs, staff and patient.

The challenge is broad but so too is the satisfaction to be gained from performing a key role in the provision of safe, high quality, patient-first healthcare programs and services.



Experience
A degree in computer science, information technology or a relevant field, or a diploma in a relevant field with two (2) years of additional experience.
At least three (3) years information systems experience, preferably in a healthcare sett
