Description

The Saskatchewan Association for Community Living (SACL) seeks a full-time Development Coordinator to ensure our donors are regularly informed about how their generous contributions are helping individuals with intellectual disabilities in Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Director of Community Development, the Development Coordinator plays an important role by providing administrative support and database management in the Development Office and assisting with all fundraising activities including donor and public relations, direct mail appeals, grant requests and the annual fundraising breakfast.

The Development Coordinator is instrumental in fostering new community partners, friends, and donors, through the careful stewardship of those guests who attend our information tours. Along with follow-up letters and/or phone calls, this position requires a meticulous approach to record-keeping.

Along with individual and corporate donors, we are supported through various community grants and initiatives; the Development Coordinator will assist with writing grant applications to new or existing funders.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelors Degree in a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working experience in fundraising, preferably in a multi-level organization within diverse communities  
- An awareness of the issues surrounding individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Demonstrated experience with databases.  Experience using eTapestry donor management software is an asset
- Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills  
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving and good judgement; ethical behaviour and business practices
- Demonstrated time-management and organizational skills.  
- Proficient in MS Office tools
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle
- Must successfully pass a criminal record check,  vulnerable sector search
