Salary or Pay Band:
$30.284 to $37.029 (5 step range)
Job Summary:
Outreach workers work with clients and care team members to identify barriers to prevention, treatment and care, to work with clients to reduce barriers and potential harms by addressing the determinates of health. As part of the HIV strategy outreach work will focus on youth, drug awareness, harm reduction and family support not excluding adults.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Valid drivers license and the ability to travel both within the Region and Provincially
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to adapt to changing conditions
Ability to competently use computers and software applications as required by the position
Ability to develop, evaluate and modify programming provided to clients
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced communication skills
Assessment skills
Organizational skills
