Revised - The Saskatchewan Parks and Recreation Association (SPRA) is in the process of inviting candidates to submit an application for the position of Consultant Information and Research.
As a member of the Communication, Information and Research Division team, this position develops and implements the strategic direction of the Information and Research Services portfolio and is responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of technology to support access to services and resources, and to advance the Vision and Mission of the organization.
The position supports evidence-based practice by providing information, research services and resources to support the organization and the parks and recreation network.
The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
- A Masters degree in Library and/or Information Science or related field from an accredited university
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience, with experience in a coordination and/or supervisory role
- Highly developed knowledge of information technologies, content organization and management, and library systems
- Ability to plan, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of services and procedures and recommend change where required, based on an understanding of user expectations and service
- Knowledge of and ability to apply strategic planning, program planning and project management; the ability to perform outcome based planning and evaluation and to implement strategic directions to meet performance outcomes
- Knowledge and application of Microsoft Office - including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and databases
