Saskatchewan Blue Cross Recess Guardians is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing play back into recess. By building leadership abilities and encouraging a healthy lifestyle, Recess Guardians helps teach youth positive building blocks for their future in a safe and educational environment--all while allowing them to create their own fun during recess.

Now in over 100 schools across Saskatchewan, we are thrilled to be starting our Regina division. The SBC Recess Guardians team is passionate about what we do, and now we're looking for someone based in Regina who is equally passionate about empowering youth to be physically active and to encourage a positive lifestyle.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Saskatchewan Blue Cross Recess Guardians Program Coordinator is responsible for:
Delivering the SBC Recess Guardian program in schools throughout Southern Saskatchewan;
Planning and coordinating school visits throughout the year;
Promoting SBC Recess Guardians in the community;
Following up with schools and adhering to their needs;
Completing monthly progress reports; and
Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
General Requirements
Experience and passion for working with youth;
Experience promoting physical activity;
Experience being a mentor;
Leads a positive lifestyle;
Experience and proficiency with computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office);
Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines;
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing;
Must be physically and mentally capable of performing duties;
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment;
Good work attendance record and understand the importance of confidentiality.  

Special Conditions
Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check (CPIC)
Possession of a valid Class 5 drivers license and reliable vehicle (travel for work-related purposes will be required)

Asset Conditions
First Aid & CPR certification
