KITCHEN-HELPER NEEDED
Maguire's Restaurant
Job duties include:
- Clean and sanitize restaurant seating tables
- Wash, dry and distribute dishes into designated areas and arrange them in an orderly manner
- Leave the dish washing area clean at the end of the shift
- Scrape items to be washed and place dishes, trays, glasses and silverware in dish washing machine
- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
- Wash and peel vegetables and fruits
- Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage
- Unpack and store food items and supplies in their respected storage areas
- Sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties to assist cook and other kitchen staff
Education: completion of secondary school is as asset
Work experience: minimum one year of experience in restaurant or hospitality environment
Salary: $12/ hour
2 vacancies available.
Dishwashing Skills
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand
- Operate pot-washing machines
- Clean and polish silverware
- Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts and waste disposal units
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware
Kitchen Helping Skills
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
- Handle and store cleaning products
- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
- Sweep and mop floors
Bussing Skills
- Set tables
- Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs
- Assist food and beverage servers in formal service activities
