Description

Our client is a nationally recognized leader in the manufacture, sales, & service of state-of-the-art monitor & control systems for fire alarm, & sprinklers systems.
We are currently looking for a Fire Alarm Technician to join the Saskatoon District. Our client is willing to train the right candidate, on the job, to achieve a CFAA (Canadian Fire Alarm Association) designation.
Primary Responsibilities
    Perform service activities on electrical fire alarm systems, access control and security systems.
    Identify & sell basic product enhancements to customers.
    Troubleshoot systems & perform necessary repairs.
    Meet customer expectations while performing quality inspections.
    Read & interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specs, software/systems, programs, schematics & operational/product manuals.
    Supervise and inspect the installation of equipment to meet customer specifications.
    Evaluate and diagnose equipment that requires servicing as well as troubleshoot problems.
    Strong technical and electronics background is certainly an asset
    2 or more years of experience as Service Technician within the Fire Protection or related industry would be an asset
    Completion of a Canadian Fire Alarm Association (CFAA) certification or equivalent provincial certification is an asset; however, our client is willing to train the right candidate on the job to achieve this certification
    Knowledgeable of provincial building & fire codes for inspection purposes.
    Demonstrated high level of customer service.
    Follow detailed procedures &  ensure accuracy in documentation & routine details.
    Present information through spoken or written word, read as well as read and interpret complex information.
    Lift equipment & tools up to 40lbs & climb ladders & scaffolding.
    Possess a valid motor vehicle license
