Description

Reporting to the Director of Parks and Recreation under the direct Supervision of the Arena/Facilities Foreman, the Student Labourer will perform duties as required in the following areas:
1.    Responsible for assisting in general maintenance of municipal parks, cemeteries and buildings
2.    Street and road maintenance, spring clean up, etc.  
3.    Turf Maintenance (grass cutting, fertilizing, etc.)
4.    Weed whacking at municipal parks, cemeteries and buildings
5.    Pruning shrubs, trimming trees
6.    Other general labour duties as assigned by the foreman
7.    These positions are open to current post-secondary students who are registered to return to school full-time this fall and eligible to be hired under government student grants.
8.    Wearing ?CSA Approved? footwear at all times will be a condition of employment and will be the responsibility of the employee to purchase.
9.    Cell phone use is not permitted at any time. They must remain off and put away for the duration of the work day. Those needing to contact you are welcome to do so by calling your Foreman or the Town Office. Texting is not permitted.
Hours of of work: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (May ? end of August)
Must have current Class 5 Driver?s License

POLICE CHECK:                  The successful candidate will be required to complete a Police Record Check (working with vulnerable persons) prior to commencement of employment.
