David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies has partnered with our client to assist them in recruiting a Financial Analyst/ Advisor based in Saskatoon.

Our client serves a niche market with customized financial products designed to be leveraged to meet the planning needs of owners of privately-held mid- to large-sized Canadian businesses.

The Role:

Analyze financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies for meeting clients' financial objectives
Develop and analyze complex financial models in Excel that depict specialized estate planning structures
Liaise with clients, their authorized representatives, as well as insurance, legal and banking representatives to explain, negotiate and implement the details of custom financial plans and strategies
Build and maintain client databases, keeping current client plans up-to-date using CMS
Obtain a life license and attend seminars and workshops on insurance and financial planning topics to earn continuing education credits
Accurately prepare and interpret information for clients such as performance reports, financial document summaries, and plan projections
Keeping up to date with financial markets, products and legislation
Contacting clients with news of new financial products that may affect their savings and investments

The Ideal Candidate:

University business degree, preferably with a focus in finance or accounting, with knowledge of Insurance
Basic understanding of accounting principles, financial statements and taxation as relates to estate and business succession planning in Canada
Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and modeling skills; experience in financial analysis, modeling and data gathering preferred
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and short deadlines with minimal supervision
Must complete a security clearance for insurance licensing
