Description

Basic Purpose:
Provide assistance and technical support to manufacturing in all areas related to safety, quality, and productivity

Duties:  
-    Supporting day to day manufacturing activities
-    Providing current production with fast response troubleshooting
-    Facilitate problem solving and continuous improvement in all production areas through hands on involvement on the production floor
-    Responsible for the identification, development, and implementation of process improvements and best practices focused on improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity
-    Design material handling and tooling to improve safety, quality, or productivity for the value streams
-    Lead and influence others through actions and expectations to meet improvement objectives
-    Collaborate with Manufacturing and Design Engineers to ensure alignment of design requirements with manufacturing and machine capability
-    Conduct time studies to develop base times or evaluate different processes
-    Develop and document standard work, including work methods, cell layouts, and value stream layouts

Skills & Knowledge Required:
-    Technical diploma or equivalent experience in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
-    Strong trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
-    Demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a team environment
-    Some understanding of lean methodology and continuous improvements methods
-    High degree of analytical thought and creativity
-    3D CAD experience (Solidworks preferred)
-    Strong computer skills
-    Experience with ERP software
