JOB SUMMARY: The Social Assistance Administrator is a support position directly responsible to the Operations Manager with overall accountability to the Chief and Council. The SA Administrator will be responsible for data entry as well as clerical administration; receive client information and ensure client intake information is handled in a professional, confidential manner; assist with writing and preparing statistical reports with updates for client files. He or she will assist with wrap-around case management process; facilitate community involvement in programs & projects and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Background and/or equivalent of applied work experience with preference to a post-secondary degree in social work or business administration.
? Computer literate - above average dexterity and accuracy for data entry & electronic storage of Social Assistance Program information using First Nations Software ? Ferrus Computers
? Understanding of First Nations Health issues and First Nation governance
? Extensive knowledge of strength based community resources and programs
? Demonstrate addictions-free lifestyle
? Willing to conduct home visits; some travel may be required.
? Able to work effectively independently and as part of a team
? Able to work flex hours
? Understand confidentiality policies
? Valid driver's licence and own reliable transportation.
? Must Submit Drug Screen if successful candidate.
? Submit annual Criminal Record Checks
