Description

Applications are now being accepted for the above position. This position is under the direct supervision of the WMF Foreman.   Hours of work may change (but are not limited to) depending on the time of year as determined by the Foreman.  The required amount of shift change notice will be given.
Duties and Responsibilities
    Report to and take direction from the WMF foreman
    Ability to operate all 4 pcs of heavy equipment to include: compactor, wheel loader, track loader and skid steer  
    Service equipment & complete service logs daily
    Assist in maintenance and repair of City equipment
    Ensure loads with non-acceptable wastes are identified and turned away
    Follow Occupational Health & Safety and City Safety Program
    Deal effectively with management, staff & public
    Other duties as may be assigned
Qualifications
    Grade XII or equivalent related experience as deemed acceptable by the City
    Must have a valid, Saskatchewan Drivers Class 3A Licence (min) along with a clean drivers abstract
    Certification in Landfill Operations Basics & Landfill Fire Training would be a huge asset.
    Knowledge and experience with operating heavy-duty equipment is required.
    Able to communicate clearly and effectively orally and in writing.
    Able to maintain effective, co-operative relations with staff and the general public.
    Must be able to do heavy physical labour.
