Will be required to work as a team member of the multidisciplinary prevention team assigned to the implementation of the integrated strategy across primary, secondary and tertiary setting within the service area. The community selected Prevention Services Worker will provide an alternate approach to the well-being of the child, the family and the community that is based on the development of prevention services resting on the foundations of First Nations values and beliefs. The context of prevention services development will be discussed with the support of family and community members. The Prevention Services Worker will network with community based programs, the Piapot Prevention Committee and YTCCFS Inc. to provide relevant community based prevention services. Preference will be given to Community Members or Residents. This position will be located on the Piapot First Nation and shall be supervised by the YTCCFS Prevention Services Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Must possess Bachelor of Social Work (BSW or BISW)or related field of study
And/Or
Certificate of Social Work (CSW) with one year experience
Must possess a valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver's License.
