Thank you.
The AIM (Ability in Me) Program began providing services in Saskatoon since January 2015. The AIM Program presently provides specialized speech and language programming for children ages 0-22 with Down syndrome living in Saskatchewan. Programming is modelled after the PREP Program in Calgary which has been providing innovative programming for more than 25 years.
We are presently seeking an Occupational Therapist to do contract work for the AIM's early learning programming (ages 0-5). Our goal is to provide innovative and inclusive services through the collaboration of specialized teachers, Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapist, and Music Therapist.
The role of the Occupational Therapist would include being involved in direct group therapy, 90 minutes on Tuesday mornings and 60 minutes on Thursday mornings. As well, additional time will be negotiated for individual direct therapy and team planning.
Candidates must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy and registered with the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children with Down syndrome and/or diverse abilities.
