Description

Reporting to the Advertising Supervisor, responsibilities for this position include the following:

1. Is the central contact and resource person for retail cooperatives and is responsible for advising them of central advertising programs and directing them to the appropriate resources.
2. Respond  to all retail marketing queries and prioritize and coordinate their project efforts by tracking the number, nature, and status of Creative Services and Digital projects.
3. Manage the Saskatoon Co-op Marketing programs, including preparing their yearly advertising budgets, attend monthly marketing meetings and collaborate with Saskatoon Co-op commodity managers in the preparation and implementation of their marketing strategies.
4. Research cost-effective and efficient media rates on behalf of our retail associations and make recommendations to the Advertising Supervisor on best prices and efficiencies.  
5. Under the direction of the Advertising Supervisor, assist with negotiating rates with third party vendors on behalf of small individual retails.
6. Provide information to the Printing Administrative Clerk and Advertising Project Coordinator that will assist in the implementation of retail marketing programs. Have a strong understanding of the Brand Library and what can be accessed for the retails.  
7. Track and report on jobs using daVinci project management workflow, participate in the production schedule, and maintain all retail jobs in the queue.  
8. Co-ordinate projects with the Creative Manager, Production Manager and retails.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Marketing, Commerce or Social Sciences and 1-3 years of experience in media buying, procurement or agency experience.
