Facility: MENTAL HEALTH - SHR
Job Description: Reporting to the Crisis/Assessment Team Manager, Mental Health and Addiction Services, Sunrise Health Region, the incumbent will participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary team. The Social Worker within the  Mental Health and Addiction Services Team provides assessments and therapeutic interventions for clients and their families, addressing the emotional and social needs of children and youth facing mental health issues, with the primary objective to support and strengthen social functioning. This is done through collaboration with the client and/or family, the Mental Health and Addiction Service Interdisciplinary Team, and other service providers with Sunrise Health Region and communities.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Experience
Experience working with children, youth and their families in a cross-cultural mental health/counseling setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Proficient assessment, counseling, and case management skills.
Demonstrated ability to provide clinical counseling for young children and families using a variety of treatment modalities; including but not limited to Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Behaviour Management, Play Therapy etc.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, decision making, documentation and organizational skills
Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and ability to appropriately intervene/attain appropriate intervention in emergency situations
Knowledge of mental health treatment resources with the willingness to build on the strengths of the community and the resiliency
