The Fabrication Shop Coordinator performs a variety of tasks. Primary responsibility is for purchasing and sourcing materials for the welding shop, quality assurance and managing the administrative requirements of the jobs. The Fabrication Shop Coordinator works closely with the Fabrication Shop Manager and reports directly to the Production Manager. The Fabrication Shop Coordinator is a key player in the efficient daily operations of the organization.
The Fabrication Shop Coordinator must possess/demonstrate the following skill set:
1. Leadership abilities
2. Knowledge of basic accounting
3. Strong organizational skills
4. Attention to detail with high level of numerical accuracy
5. Attention to detail checking quality of finished products
6. Excellent Computer skills
7. Strong interpersonal skills
8. Ability to communicate clearly
9. Ability to work independently or as part of a team
10. Ability to prioritize
11. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
12. Ability to solve problems innovatively
13. Understanding Machining/welding shop duties in an asset
14. Willingness to work overtime when required
