Description

The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association requires an individual interested in working full time, 40 hours a week in assisting foster families as part of our In Home Support Program.

The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association exists to support and encourage foster families through education and advocacy, helping create healthy homes, positive environments, and brighter futures for children and youth in care across the province.

The In Home Support Program provides support services for families requiring domestic supports, childcare or increased supports for behavioral needs of individual children or youth.

Qualifications:

-Post-secondary education in the childcare or youth care field, equivalent experience or a combination of both
-Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
-Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with children, supervisors, and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
-Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
-Public Transportation is available to worksite
-Child Abuse Record Check
-Criminal records Check (Within 3 Months)

Duties:

- Help assist parent with children
- Help with cleanliness around the home
- Help with meal prep
- Help watch over children
- Participate in activities

- 40 Hours per week.

Salary for this position is $12.22 per hour.

Health Benefits may be available after 3 months of employment to qualifying applicants.
