Supervisor, Furniture Repair Career Opportunity
Ashley Furniture HomeStore is currently seeking a Supervisor, Furniture Repair for our Saskatoon Distribution Centre located at 1502 Quebec Avenue.
You will be responsible for supervising the repair shop activities to ensure efficient and quality repair of customers product.

As the Supervisor, Furniture Repair you will:

    Be responsible for the activities, scheduling and work assignments for the In-Home and In-Shop Service Technicians, including performance evaluation, training, and counselling
    Liaise with Distribution, Transportation and Call Centre to determine workload requirements
    Assure compliance with all Company policies and procedures
    Create and maintain an environment that supports creative and innovative ways for employees to perform tasks or analyze present tasks
    Coordinate in-shop repairs (including ship prep), and in-home service calls while achieving established monthly goals
    Maintain service vehicles using the Maintenance Program
    Understand, follow and ensure compliance with all safe work practices and rules
As a successful candidate you will have the following:
    3+ years experience combined with supervisory experience in the furniture industry
    Furniture and appliance repair including upholstery, leather, case goods, motion, and appliance repairs is an asset
    Effective decision making and problem solving skills
    Ability to build high performing teams
    Ability to lead and measure self and others work
    Excellent computer skills with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and ability to learn in-house computer programs
    Criminal Record Check required
