Reporting to the President and VP Operations and Operations Managers, the QHSE Manager is responsible for the development and maintenance of the safety management system. This role supports all levels of management and operations.
Major Areas of Responsibility
-Maintain and continuously improve the companys safety management program
-Perform and maintain COR audits / action items
-Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) duties
-Safety inventory management
-Lead in the completion of regulatory and corporate action items
-Perform regular field visits
-Maintain and continuously improve the companys safety management program
-Safety manual amendments & revisions
-Formal job hazard assessments
-Development of JSAs and safe operating procedures
-Hazard ID and incident report statistic and trending analysis
-Maintain corrective action list for implementation of controls (elimination, engineering, administrative, PPE)
-Maintain Saskatchewan and Manitoba Oilfield Permits
-Monthly Safety Bulletins
-Perform and maintain COR audits / action items
-Take and maintain credit from certified health and safety auditor program
-Perform internal maintenance COR audits
-Coordinate external COR audits
-Maintain action list for COR audit action items
-Coordinate employee and manager training for COR audits
-Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) duties
-Maintain RSO designation as per CNSC requirements
-Complete internal annual compliance audits
-Manage and maintain radiation license renewal process
-Manage dose estimate and source readings for all fixed devices
-Perform survey meter calibrations and leak test on fixed sources
-Maintain authorized user list
-Follow procedures as per Element Technical Services radiation policy and procedures manual
