Main Duties Include:
-Lead, model and implement the organizations high safety standards at all sites.
Ensure the companys Mining Operations are run in accordance with the project goals and contract requirements.
-Participate as a member of the Senior Leadership Team in establishing objectives for our organization.
-Bring rigorous process to operational planning and execution in all aspects of operations and hold true accountability for delivering planned results.
-Maximize productivity, profitability and quality of work to ensure an ongoing relationship with clients and stakeholders.
-Ensure that good relations are maintained with clients and that the companys interests are promoted at every opportunity to maximize our ongoing success.
-Participate in and manage master schedule for each mine site, provide input to and review of 3-week look ahead schedule and co-manage issue mediation and development of recovery schedule(s).
-Minimum certification required is an Engineering Degree from an accredited post secondary institution. Mining Discipline Certification for foreign candidates is required. Candidates with relevant Degrees or Diplomas will also be considered.
-15+ years experience in shaft sinking and mining construction environments in multi-billion dollar projects.
-Has been in a role of General Manager of Mining Operation or VP of Mining Operation for minimum of 10 years.
