Regina Youth For Christ is a Christian mission organization that reaches over 6,000 youth every year in Saskatchewan. RYFC runs 5 group homes, several community, and school outreach programs. As a missions organization, RYFC requires all staff to be in agreement with their Statement of Faith and agree to fund-raise a portion of their salary every year.
There is a current ministry opportunity open for a full time Group Home Manager in our Battleford's group home. This position provides an opportunity to oversee a team and work hands-on with youth in a group home setting. The Group Home Manager will need to be people-focused, organized, responsible, and have a passion for building a team to work effectively with youth. The right candidate will have at least 2 years experience in leading a team of 5 or more and experience working with youth or young adults.
Assessing and Planning
- Ability to lead a team
- Ability to maintain and carry out administrative duties
- Ability to manage scheduling of staff and youth
- Ability to implement a youth's case plan
- Ability to create consistent routines and expectations within the home
- Ability to communicate professionally to support agencies
Relationship Building and Support
- Ability to support the emotional and spiritual needs needs of the staff
- Ability to build trusted relationships with staff and youth
- Ability to motivate and empower staff towards success
- Ability to model problem solving and behaviour guidance with the youth
- Assist staff to help youth with creating and meeting goals
Overseeing and Guiding
-Ability to maintain the vision and missionary requirements of the organization within the team
- Ability to align and mentor staff towards the goals of the ministry
- Ability to train or obtain training for staff in all areas necessary to carry out their job efficiently
- Ability to maintain healthy, professional boundaries with youth and staff
