Carpentry Instructor, Buffalo Narrows

The Carpentry Instructor will be responsible for providing the practical and theoretical teaching in all aspects related to the Carpentry program. Areas of instruction may include, but are not limited to: Construction Documents, Blueprints and Quantity Survey, Site Layout, Industry Communications, Concrete, Tools, Foundations, Floor Framing, Wall Framing, Roof Framing, Building Materials, and Trade Math.
Additional duties include: classroom management; taking attendance and submitting it to the Program Assistant on a regular basis; monitoring student progress and submitting reports to the Program Coordinator on a regular basis; planning work placements if necessary; and other duties as assigned.
The minimal qualifications for this position are: a Red Seal Carpentry ticket with two (2) years of recent/relevant experience; strong math skills; strong communication and effective interpersonal skills; and good working knowledge of software applications. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
