Duties: Paint a variety of railcar using paint wands (3 pounds) and lines (3/8 inch lines). may require kneeling, squatting, sitting, bending, twisting/rotating and leaning to ensure thorough coverage of all areas that require coverage. Requires working inside, outside, on top of and underneath all types of railcars. Responsible for set-up and Paint Room prep including straightening out paint lines and airlines for respirators, closing all doors manually(overhead doors on chains)and setting up scaffolding. Appropriately wear and utilize all the of the following types of safety equipment in accordance with EHS instruction and requirements: Respirators (full and half face), Painting coveralls, Hearing Protection, Eye Protection, Steel Toed Boots. Participate in team meetings, training and activities to maintain a safe work environment & ensure high compliant & efficient work completion. Work with other teams, office staff and management to coordinate tasks, define team and facility goals, make workplace & process improvements. Requirements: 3+ years experience as an Industrial Coating applicator. Experience with the application of Plural Component Coatings. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. Good interpersonal and communication skills; works well in a team environment. Must pass company physical including pulmonary function and drug screen. Must be 18 years of age or older as evidenced by a picture I.D. & legally authorized to work in Canada. Willingness to comply with pre-employment screening, including but not limited to drug testing, reference verification and background check.
