Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Occupational Health and Safety Manager, the RN will be responsible for the provision of occupational health services and activities within Saskatoon Health Region.
Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Occupational Health Nursing Certificate or Occupational Health and Safety Diploma
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
REQUIRED TO BE CERTIFIED IN ADMINISTRATION OF IMMUNIZATIONS.
REQUIRED TO BE CERTIFIED IN ADMINISTRATION OF TUBERCULIN SKIN TESTS.
REQUIRED TO HAVE PROFICIENT KNOWLEDGE IN CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL AND RADIATION HAZARDS. REQUIRED TO HAVE PROFICIENT KNOWLEDGE IN HEALTH SURVEILLANCE.
REQUIRED TO HAVE PROFICIENT KNOWLEDGE IN OCCUPATIONAL DISEASE AND INJURIES.
REQUIRED TO HAVE PROFICIENT KNOWLEDGE IN OCCUPATIONAL HYGIENE.
IF NO QUALIFIED APPLICANTS APPLY, CANDIDATES WHO HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE CERTIFICATE/CERTIFICATION OR DIPLOMA MAY BE CONSIDERED PENDING THE COMPLETION OF TWO COURSES.
THREE YEARS EXPERIENCE IN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH IS PREFERRED.
