Description

Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Housing, the Director is responsible for overseeing the Children's Housing Programs in 3 facilities.

Responsibilities include:
Program Development
-Maintain high quality service/programming and look for opportunities to refine and improve service where possible;
-Ensure that the case plan for each resident outlined by MSS is implemented and followed.
Human Resources
-The Director will foster a cohesive and effective staff team that work collectively to support clients specifically by:
-Direct supervision of Program Managers by coaching, direct feedback, fostering professional growth;
-Provide guidance and consultation in hiring staff, taking disciplinary action, performance improvement plans or terminations;
-Attend front line meetings when possible;
-Assume duties of Managers when necessary which may include filling in front line shifts;
-Identify , plan and deliver staff training working cooperatively with Managers.
Administration and Accountability
- Coordinate and maintain policies, systems and processes necessary to achieve desired outcomes;
-Ensure all reporting, licensing and contract requirements are met;
-Oversee data collections ensuring that requirements for funding are met;
-Attend community meeting/events;
-Oversee and monitor program budgets and participate in budget planning processes.
Qualifications
-A degree in education, administration, social work or management and/or 2-3 years management experience;
-Proven administration, supervisory and leadership skills;
-Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills;
-Sound knowledge of human behaviour and counseling theory;
-Experience in organizational, financial, non-profit management and Program development and delivery;
-Must be able to pass security clearances and hold a valid Sask driver's license.
