Description

Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Housing, the Director is responsible for overseeing the women's/housing programs which include Isabel Johnson Shelter, My Aunt's Place and Kikinaw Residence. The Director will lead a team of Managers and Front Line Staff to provide programs and services with a respectful approach to challenging issues.

Responsibilities include:
Human Resources: The Director will foster a cohesive and effective staff team that work collectively to support clients.
-Direct supervision of Program Managers by coaching, directing feedback, fostering professional growth;
-Provide guidance and consultation in hiring staff, taking disciplinary action, performance improvement plans or terminations;
-Attend front line meetings when possible;
-Assume duties of Managers when necessary including filling front line staff shifts;
-Identify, plan and deliver staff training cooperatively with Managers.

Administration and Accountability
-Coordinate and maintain policies, systems and processes necessary to achieve desired outcomes;
-Ensure all reporting, licensing and contract requirements are met;
-Oversee data collections to conform to funding requirements;
-Attend community meeting/events as required;
-Oversee and monitor program budgets and participate in budget planning process.

Qualifications
-A degree in administration, social work or management and/or 2-3 years management experience;
-Proven administrative, supervisory and leadership skills;
-Excellent oral, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills;
-Sound knowledge of human behaviour and counseling theory;
-Experience in organizational, financial, non-profit management and program development and delivery;
-Computers skills;
-Must be able to pass security clearance and hold a valid Sask driver's license.
