Description

Southeast College is currently recruiting for an additional instructor(s) to join the professional faculty team in the Weyburn Practical Nursing program. Both theory and/or practicum instruction is available.

Qualifications:    

- Bachelors Degree in Nursing or a related field is required
- Must be eligible with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association
- Minimum of two years recent clinical/teaching experience
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team
- Ability to apply the theory, practices and principles of the science of nursing and adult education
- Small group facilitation skills and leading, modeling and teaching interaction skills
- Ability to arrange, maintain and evaluate resources


Duties:

- Teach, coach and supervise nursing students in classroom, simulation lab and clinical settings
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback
- Participate in the development, maintenance and revision of curriculum
- Follow protocols for program administration
- Monitor and evaluate curriculum implementation at the Program site
- Participate in program, campus, SIAST, industry and professional or other stakeholder activities

Employment Dates:        
September 21, 2015 - May 13, 2016

Number of Instructional Days: Flexible to candidates availability. Either full or part time can be accommodated.

Salary Range:            
As per the negotiated SGEU Instructor grid, commensurate with education and experience.

Some travel may be required.
