Summer Literacy Camp Gordon Denny Community School
Duties:
- Attend and participate in, all camp orientation, training and evaluation sessions
- Work as a camp counselor as required
- Ensure safety and well-being of all individuals
- Maintain camp records, including daily attendance and tracking statistics
- Ensure adherence to all program directions and guidelines
- Complete and submit a memory book
- Manage and maintain budget and accounts, including financial records
- Submit weekly camp reports
Qualifications:
- Adaptable, responsible, enthusiastic, creative
- Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
- Excellent planning, organizational and time-management skills
- Able to provide a warm, welcoming, and friendly environment
- Familiar with Social Media (FaceBook)
- Experience working with children and/or youth in a summer camp or literacy program setting
- First Aid & CPR certification an asset
- At least 18 years old
Hours: 35hrs/week
Rate of pay: $19.00/hr (Counselor), $22.00/hr (Coordinator)
Dates: July 13th-31st (Training: July 6th-10th)
