Description

Position requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Set up, adjust, and shut down welding equipment as needed  
Follow job routers drawings and other written or verbal instructions as directed
Repair faulty product using welding procedures
Inspect completed welds to ensure that they meet company standards
Fill out the appropriate paperwork for documentation purposes
Complete set up sheets; documenting new product requirements for approval
Set up the CNC machines properly and ensure that they are working at full capacity
Proof CNC codes and make modifications when required
Determine and then run the appropriate program for each job; make adjustments as needed to ensure quality product.
Load and unload the CNC machines with the required products
Operate all equipment, including small hand tools, in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
General clean up of working area to help maintain a safe working environment

Education & Experience:
Journeyman certification preferred
Ticketed machine operator or equivalent experience
2-5 years welding experience including sub arc welding
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience using Fanuc controller an asset

Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of G codes
Great attention to detail with the ability to focus on the task at hand
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with fluency in English
Strong mechanical aptitude
Team oriented thinker
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to read product drawings and measuring tapes
Ability to work independently or in a team
Proven ability to work in a safe manner and follow safety procedures
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
