AIDS Programs South Saskatchewan is a community-based harm reduction agency with a current staff of six that provides programs for people affected by, living with, or at risk of HIV/AIDS/HCV. We are looking for a motivated individual with office administration expertise who can provide part-time (2days/week) administrative support to the Executive Director.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Serve as the liason between the Executive Director (ED) and the organizations bookkeeper and accountant
-Manage payroll and benefits, payables, donations, petty cash, bank deposits, and financial reporting
-Work with the ED in managing budgets
-Manage TrackVia database for outputs and outcomes tracking and reporting for program areas
-Oversee membership recruitment, tracking and communications
-Assist ED with correspondence and communications
-Manage electronic and paper filing systems
-Assist with organizing meetings and schedules
-Conduct research and prepare reports, and assist with special projects as needed
-Maintain office equipment and supplies (AIDS Programs has an existing IT contract)
-Maintain sound administrative procedures
-Additional duties and hours may be added as the organization grows
Personal Characteristics:
-Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills
-Strong communication skills written and oral
-Capacity to relate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
-Ability to work independently and in a busy environment
Qualifications:
-Office administration certificate and 3-5 years related experience
-Book-keeping experience and/or certification
-Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Gmail.
-Experience with Quickbooks would be an asset
-Ability to quickly learn new software applications
-An up-do-date criminal record check
