Summary:
As a member of an interdisciplinery team and under the general durection of the Family Treatment Center Manager and clinical supervisor the primary goal will be to restore, maintain and enhance the recovery of people seeking residential inpatient services for addiction by implementing services consistent with the current Provincial Clinical Model for Alcohol and Drug Services and the philosophy, objectives and standards set by the Family Treatment Center. Responsibilities will include providing informational programming as well as individual and group counseling sessions to clients and their children in an inpatient setting. This position will be expected to assess individual/family and group needs and implement plans to help clients reach their goals.
As per Section 48 of Saskatchewan Human Rights code the Employer has determined that only female candidates will be accepted for this position.
Required Qualifications:
-Chemical Dependency diploma
- Valid Class 5 drivers license

-Ability to deliver workshops and lecture material to residential clients
-Ability to work independently and as a team member
-Commited to own professional growth and development
-Effective oral and written communication skills
-Knowledge of addictions and their effects
-Knowledge of addictions screening and assessment tools and procedures
-Knowledge of diverse health issues, culture and traditions
-Knowledge of human behavior, group dynamics and the mental needs of adults
-Strong knowledge of trauma informed care, gender-responsive care, the harm erduction model, Saskatchewan model of recovery services, the motivation assessment process and the developmental model of recovery, and positive parenting models and other evidence based practices.
