Description

The Information Analyst Role:
Working under the Manager, Information Services, you will be responsible for report generation and advanced querying techniques, providing data extractions and reporting solutions for applications. In addition to extracting reports from a variety of systems and from the integration of those systems, you will also be responsible for liaising with a broad spectrum of stakeholders. Other responsibilities will include trouble shooting and resolving incidents for various existing production reporting/data solutions and assisting with planning and technology changes or upgrades in a complex integrated environment.

What are we looking for?:
You will have technical knowledge of database concepts, theories, and data integration using various computer platforms. In addition, you will have strong computer programming skills and demonstrated proven experience on report creation and data extraction. An excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package is also required and knowledge of the health environment and of data quality improvement techniques would be beneficial for this job.

The successful candidates will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills and thrive in a dynamic, technology driven environment. Proven experience and skills in effective communication, problem solving, data analysis, documentation standards, and a rigor for change management protocols and quality control are also required.

Our ideal candidate would have gained the knowledge and skills required for this position through the completion of a degree in computer science, health informatics, or a related discipline, supplemented by several years of increasing responsibility within a complex, integrated IT environment.
