The Greystone Bereavement Centre, operating under Regina Palliative Care Inc. is seeking two part time or one full time bereavement counsellor(s). The Greystone Bereavement Centre specializes in death loss grief, trauma from death loss and bereavement.
The Greystone Bereavement Centre focuses on counselling traumatic death loss grief as well as anticipatory grief. GBC offers support groups to diverse groups.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Provides clinical grief counselling to grieving individuals and groups.
2. Maintains clinical records of clients served within GBC
3. Responds to requests to participate in public speaking activities, maintaining a high profile in the community by taking a leadership role in bereavement education.
4. Participates in the continual staff support activities and development of approaches to meet all GBC staff counseling needs.
5. Participates in the events of Caring Hearts Camp, Grief in the Workplace, and any educational workshops and conferences.
6. Achieves expected productivity standard (based on patient visits and case load) alignment with best practices within the GBC.
7. Facilitate support groups.

Requirements:
LICENSURE: Must be registered with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers.
EDUCATION: Bachelors or Masters degree in Social Work, or Counseling required, or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:. Knowledge of death/dying, grief, loss and survivorship issues a definite asset. Minimum three year's clinical experience with grief treatment in counseling role.
