Applications are invited for a Research Coordinator in the Department of Indigenous Language, Arts and Culture (Regina Campus) with the First Nations University of Canada.
Qualifications:
Applicants will demonstrate attention to detail and have advanced computer skills. They will require strong organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written). They will be reliable, responsible, and punctual. In addition, they will have completed or be completing a Degree in Linguistics or related field. Experience with grammatical analysis of Dene Suine or a related language is a requirement. Experience with linguistic software (ELAN) and experience with video/audio conversion would also be considered an asset.
Responsibilities include communication of Dene language acquisition, project data management of audiovisual linguistic data, and checking quality and completeness of transcripts. Others duties in relation and as assigned.
Hours of Work: The hours of work will average 10 hours per week. This position will be located at the Regina Campus.
Length of Term: From July 2015 to June 2016.
