Spirit Builders is looking for a Program Coordinator to coordinate skill-based after-school programs for children and youth attending Balcarres Community School.  

This is a part-time contract position.

The successful applicant should:
    Be passionate about working with children, youth and families
    Have outstanding interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
    Be able to work independently and as part of a team
    Be able to account for your work
    Show a desire to make a difference in youth, families and our communities
    Have demonstrated resourcefulness, flexibility, commitment and caring in previous work
    Have computer skills (Word, Excel, Publisher)
    Own a reliable vehicle and valid license

Preference will be given to candidates that:
    Are residents of the communities served
    Have some post-secondary education

Specific duties include:
    Recruiting volunteers and participants
    Organizing and scheduling programs and celebrations
    Advertising programs
    Applying for grants, maintaining records and reports
    Reporting to the Spirit Builders Board
    Following the budget and paying bills

Salary will correspond with training and related experience.
