Description

1. Position Summary:    
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Waterston House Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of the day to day operation of the Waterston House.  Ensures The Salvation Army Waterston House policies and procedures are current and adhered to.  Recruits, admits and discharges residents, develops good rapport with agencies, residents and staff.  The WHC advises the Executive Director of personnel and operational requirements. Supervises, orientates and conducts performance evaluations of Waterston staff when applicable and complete necessary scheduling/payroll.  Ensure the Waterston House has a safe and clean environment and maintains overall inventory control.

    The incumbent, exercising considerable initiative, carries out the duties of the position, with minimal direction and day to day supervision.
    Demonstrated liaison ability with community agencies, caseworkers, etc.
    Computer literate, demonstrating experience with Microsoft Office, internet and keyboarding.
    Recognizable skill in effective time management and able to manage/prioritize multi-tasks.
    Effective organizational skills in filing and office management.
    Demonstrates effective interpersonal/communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of internal/external contacts.
    Skills in understanding the use of authority in supervision and to intervene effectively in crisis situations.
    Commitment to and promotes team work.
