Description

Key Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Police Information and Evidence Manager, supervises staff within PIEM, including Court Information clerks, Data Quality and Case Management clerks and Court Disposition clerks.
(1)    Ensures the accuracy of all work completed by PIEM staff and the provision of feedback to other IEIS users to ensure the integrity of the Regina Police Services incident reporting and storage system through monitoring, feedback and training.
(2)    Oversees the training and development of all IEIS users and acts as a resource regarding reporting and police information management procedures from data entry to court, the operation of IEIS and the Uniform Crime Reporting standards.
(3)    Ensures that service objectives are met by monitoring, recommending and adjusting available resources.
(4)    Ensures timely and consistent feedback to manager.
(5)    Completes annual performance evaluations on staff and provides input and recommendations with respect to hiring, promotion and progressive discipline.
(6)    Assists in analysis of business practice, development and implementation of policy and procedures relative to police information management and implements same.
(7)    Liaise and act as a resource to other departments and/or agencies as necessitated by work assignments.
(8)    Troubleshoot and provide advice on all aspects of IEIS operation to all IEIS users.
(9)    Assists in the development of training material and resources relative to effective use of IEIS.  Assists in developing ongoing training plans.
