Description

Reporting to the Chief Geophyscist,this position is responsible for the following duties:

-Works on AREVAs exploration projects.
-Providing logistical and technical support for exploration/development programs as directed by the Chief Geophysicist (These duties are detailled on AREVA's career website)
-Must be fully aware of his/her role and responsibilities as defined in the ISO 14001 Core Procedures and support files.
-Will comply with the Health, Safety, Radiation Protection standards in force at AREVA and its environmental policy; he/she will enforce them with exploration workers.


SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
-Geophysical/Geological technologist or technician diploma;
-Previous experience working at exploration sites and/or logistically difficult areas is an asset;
-Mechanical/electronic knowledge and skills considered an asset.
-Good organizational skills, task-oriented and rigorous approach required;
-Excellent computer skills; familiarity with Geosoft, WellCAD, and Microsoft Excel would be considered an asset;
-Excellent communication skills;
-Ability to physically to work in difficult and isolated conditions;
-Ability to check, troubleshoot and do basic preventive maintenance of all exploration equipment

PLACE OF WORK
-Work is primarily based in the Saskatoon Office (60%); however field work is required during the summer and winter exploration drilling programs (40%).
