The position requires an individual to interact with customers and assist them in making product choices according to their individual needs. In order to be successful the candidate must also be willing to undergo our extensive product and sales training.
Although not an all inclusive list, the following are some of the duties and expectations for this position:
Developing and maintaining an understanding of all product categories. Understanding and articulating the features, benefits, and warranty information for all products offered to our customers.
Scheduling measurement of area, estimating the amount of product required by customer, generating computer based quotes, collecting deposit, ordering product.
Building relationships and rapport. Acting with honesty and integrity while building trust and confidence with customers and co-workers.
Maintaining showroom by keeping samples and displays, neat, current, and clean.
Assisting in store promotions and events.
Loading product for customers when picking up.
The skills and abilities were seeking include:
Minimum Grade 12 education
A passion for, or experience with, decorating or design
Must be willing and able to attend some off site training
Must have open and flexible work availability to include weekends
Strong computer skills. Must have strong knowledge in Microsoft Office programs and be willing to learn our operating system
Retail sales experience is a plus, but not required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Professionalism, to include dependability, accountability, and punctuality
